Why evaluate learning?
The evaluation is the observation and collection of data of everything taught to the student, in this way in a general way to the group, we teachers review how many objectives the student achieved throughout the class.
There are many interpretations of the way to evaluate students, however, due to the diversity of evaluation methods, we can take one of the many ways and adapt them to the class according to the progress of the students, as I well shared, it is a process in where we must observe and analyze class progress before proceeding to the evaluation.
To carry out a correct learning evaluation, we must define what approach we will take, whether it is summative or formative evaluation, define whether it is a qualitative or quantitative approach, once these characteristics are defined, we can now choose and correctly apply the data collection to evaluate the learning process.
Below I present some evaluation techniques and some of the instruments that teachers use the most.
Evaluation instruments are defined as: techniques and tools that allow evaluating the teaching process such as the quality of student learning and their performance.
Among these evaluation instruments we can find: evaluation rubrics, checklist, observation guide, class notebook, exams, concept maps, audio or video recordings, digital tools for evaluation, monographic works, small investigations and games with approaches passive learning education.
